Performance Benefits of Agility

Neuromuscular Adaptation-
     Agility drills resemble sport specific movements.
     Athletes can condition themselves to metabolically train close to the same intensity, duration,  and recovery time.
Improve athleticism-
     Allows athlete to become more comfortable with transitions and kinesthetic awareness. It allows the athlete to gain more efficient control over the body when changing direction at a high rate.
Injury Prevention-
     We can never eliminate all injuries. By conditioning the athlete with specific movements to their sport, they will potentially be able to react quicker. The more control they have over their body could be the difference of avoiding collision. The body can be better prepared for sport specific movements to help avoid injury.

Dear parents and coaches,

 

am proud to reintroduce myself to the Vero Beach Baseball Academy. I am currently a strength and conditioning coach in the Tampa Bay Rays Organization. I have worked multiple years in professional baseball developing prospects that have gone on to become Major Leaguers. My programs are designed to provide affordable athletic development that allows young athletes to avoid injury, improve performance, and safely achieve their goal of obtaining a baseball scholarship or professional contract. They will learn what it is like to train like the pros.  One of  my goals at the Vero Beach Baseball Academy is to  compliment all the skills we have to offer in order to make the complete athlete. Learning the game and playing can only take you so far.
